My wife, Sandra and I would like to thank this agent for the work she conducted in the sale of our home in Moonee Ponds. From our first discussion, we found this agent to be direct, open and honest with an empathetic approach. On a couple of occasions prior to the sale, I had even mentioned of how organised she had been in giving us feedback leading up to our house being advertised but also during the open house inspections up to the afternoon of auction. What set this agent apart from previous agents I have dealt with was that she managed our expectations from the get-go without promising the world, but giving us a realistic sense of what might occur at each point of the process. On the day of auction, this agent assisted me through what is a very stressful day, and her level of excitement was genuine when we achieved a very good result in excess of our expected reserve price. I would like to commend most highly the Barry Plant staff who recently assisted me in the sale of my house. From my first meeting with this agent last year, when I requested a valuation on my house for possible future sale, until the actual successful sale and follow up discussions, I was impressed with her as a true professional and also as sincere, warm and empathetic. My subsequent dealings proved the initial assessment accurate and I felt that I could completely trust her and her team who came on board during the preparation for sale process. The sensitivity with which much valuable advice regarding preparation for sale and photographs was given, and the follow up discussions after each open house by this agent and her colleague Danielle Alvarez helped me sail through unscathed, what could have been a very stressful period. I have 2 indoor cats which had to be occasionally relocated to neighbors and I was able to deal with this in a fuss free and humorous manner, due to their friendly support. I would also like to commend the contribution of Bill Karp, whose assistance before auction and his entertaining and successful auctioneering on the day was, in the spirit of the whole team, friendly, supportive and positively professional. We would like to commend most highly the team at Barry Plant who assisted us recently with the successful sale of our house. Due to previous unpleasant experiences both selling and buying property, we were apprehensive when proceeding with our most recent sale. Therefore, we were very thorough in selecting the most suitable team to represent us. Any previous reservations we had were quickly dispelled on our first meeting with this agent and Danielle Alvarez who had obviously taken the time and effort to conduct background research on our property and the general location. Throughout the sale process, we have been impressed with the professional, caring and empathetic approach by both this agent and Danielle and also other members of the Barry Plant team. We were kept fully informed about interested parties and also information relating to visits, building inspections and open house arrangements. There are many large real estate agencies, with polished and slick agents. These agents know what you want to hear. They know what to say. Their words flow easily. They are well rehearsed. We’ve all met them and spoken to them. A breath of fresh air engulfed me when I met with the staff at Barry Plant Essendon. I was instantly treated as a person. My home was respected as much as I was. They were honest, open, and informative. I was relaxed, confident and finally rewarded. Barry Plant took me through the process of selling my family home with a human face. They managed it and me with confidence, honesty and respect. There are plenty of heartless agencies but with Barry Plant you will be respected and rewarded.

Considering the disaster of our first campaign this agent and her colleague Danielle Alvarez were very supportive and were too very distressed that this had happened and had not experienced this outcome before. The. campaigns was heating up with a number of interested parties only to be stopped. In consultation with their peers and sales team at Barry Plant it was evident we could not proceed with the Auction for legal reasons plus the agent had a moral obligation to disclose the notice. This would put a lot of people off plus give the buyer bargaining tools for purchase prize in their favour. Either way we were to lose. We kept this agent and her team informed of the very slow process dealing with council and she displayed integrity and professionalism. The second campaign was slow and we had to review our reserve which also was another setback but this agent worked tiredlessly trying to engage prior interested parties. This was a nightmare process I'm sure this agent was glad was over as wee we but she was wonderful through out the five months. The star rating for service value for money does not reflect the service by this agent more the fact that we had additional cost due to a second campaign which was out of her control.
