How did you get started in real estate?
My family's always invested in real estate, so it's always been a hobby and passion of mine. Eventually, I got into it and I never looked back.
What is your favourite thing about the area you service?
My favourite thing about the area is how it has grown and matured over the years. I was born and raised in Penrith, and when I was growing up, the area was just like a big country town - there were gardens, orchards and farms around, and everyone knew each other. Over the years, the area began to develop. So, it went from a big country town to a fully fledged city.
Can you tell us about your most memorable sale?
I have had a lot of memorable sales, I've sold something close to 800 properties, but it's always really nice helping vendors and sellers achieve their goals and realise their dreams. For first home buyers, it's always exciting handing over the keys. There have been a lot of different sales but they're all special in their own right.
What do you like most about your job?
The variety of different sales, helping people to create wealth through property, helping the older generations downsize and helping first home buyers get into the market.
What makes a good agent?
I believe the most important quality for a real estate agent is honesty and integrity.
What’s the biggest mistake you see vendors make?
Overpricing properties and paying the lowest commission fee, knowing full well that the market's not there' What happens is, the property stays on the market for a long time, it doesn't sell and they get frustrated with both the agent and themselves because they're not able to achieve their objective of selling the property at the price they want.
Why should a vendor choose you?
A vendor should choose us because we work with them to achieve the highest price possible in any given market. We also work to make the transaction as seamless and stress-free as possible. We also see the long term, we've sold homes intergenerationally - to children, grandchildren and to family members. It's important to give 100% for every sale because it will reap rewards later on down the road. There's no better advertisement than a happy client.
